Goats are Happy on a Sunday
The goats are happy. They weather is perfect. We had 10 drops of rain yesterday. There's Red tomatoes, fresh peas and beans, cukes and lettuce. How much better can it get??? To think in less than two months we could have snow on the ground. YIKES...... where oh where did the summer go?
The goats are growing fast we are milking her in the morning and getting about 1/2 cup . Every day we say we are going to separate them, and every night we don't have the heart to separate them from their mom. The Buck Lucky is getting frisky for a three week old. We read he can bred at 7 weeks. amazing.... but I am believing it now. He is leaving in a few weeks and then we will be down to our two. Mom and daughter. Now to figure out when to bred them so we have milk most of the time.
The garden report: pulled the peas, garlic and the potatoes we had planted. Put the onions to dry and its time to take the kale out. We are not overly fond of Kale this was the first year we planted and prob will not plant it next year.
