Happy Birthday tomorrow to grandson Eric....what a special guy...Nyla sends lots of arfs and barks..... and a picture of her in her Bears blanket
It is raining outside and it sounds wonderful. We have been blessed with some rain last week, but this is a long rain and it is supposed to rain on and off all day.
Its been a very busy time. We are going to dry cucumbers today. Saw a few articles on it. You can use it in a dip in the winter time. You dry it and then powder it in the blender. Sounds like a great idea. Worth a try.
We worked on the fence yesterday. We have such grand friends. They blessed us with two stock panels for our goats and we are now able to make their yard a bit bigger. They seem very happy. The baby is growing she could crawl through the bottom holes but husband put up chicken wire on the very bottom of panels. This seemed to take care of the problem.
We have been looking for a house with a bit more land. It would be nice to have chickens back again. Miss those girls..
Our son was reflecting to his dad how much money you can save when you stay home. Unfortunately he had not choice for a short time. He fell off his deck. Broke a few bones in his foot. Well it was more like his whole foot. Thankfully it is healing well....but It gave us this idea we get paid SS and it is the same weekday every month. Well there are some months that makes it five weeks between paydays. This has always been hard for us. So thanks son we are decided to go one week in that five weeks with out spending any money which would turns it into the typical four week month. Well we decided to try it and guess what??? a local store sold all their stock for 50% off and needless to say we didn't make it that week. So maybe we will start over again . About three or four times a year we have five weeks between paydays.
We have retired on very little money but we do have a very good health plan. We traveled when we were younger and neither hubby or I have that desire to keep going. We look out our window and the beauty around us and all this beauty is amazing. Now that I think of it the only place we liked to go when we were very young was making a trip to the UP. So we are living our dream and very thankful. God is so Good.........(all the time) right Jen?
Have a good day....
