a walk at the back of our RV park
lunch in Bandera Park
We spent hours in what might be the biggest Antique store I have been in. It was fun and amazing. If they didn't have it you probably won't find it. People from all over Texas rent space in this store.

Staying a Month at Bandera

Maybe people canceled because of the weather but we just received the news they have room for us for a month.  They rolled over our two nights into the monthly rate which was great.

Well this may have been Texas snow but not quite like at home...:)
Sleet and rain this am.  But sun and high 50's tomorrow.

We met some nice folk from Oklahoma.  We are going to lunch with them in town.

Shinja  and Van were telling us tonight there is music at another rv park we are planning on going with them.

The club house has a beautiful warm fireplace it is a pretty big club house.
There is another  building and they are saying it has an exercise room that we have not went over and checked out yet.
At four o'clock everyday  they have games in the club house for those who want to go.

My new friend Shinja says they have and Ice cream social once a week.  Now that is right up my alley.. :)

Supposed to be in the 50's and sunny tomorrow.

Morning Tea and Off to Bandara

Another beautiful sunny day and we had a beautiful drive through the hill country.

We found out when we got to the RV park a rally is arriving tomorrow so we might not be able to stay here long.
It is a beautiful park and we just heard there are other Yoopers here. We went for a walk on the trail down to the Medina Rive.

So we will see what tomorrow brings along with some snow.

Crazy weather.. ::??????

Took lots of pictures the last few days but more than 1/2 did not turn out.  :(  I had the camera set on the wrong thing.

They took us to Bass Pro to see if we could get a 2010 Master catalog with our grandson and his deer picture.  They told us it won't be out till fall when archery season starts.  so we signed up for them to send us one.

We were so full no one felt like eating dinner.  So we had salad and soup.  It was a great day with great family.

Rosie Roadtrek is six months old...(to us).

We have had Rosie six months now.   She has been one of the best things we have ever bought.  She is just like being home.  We have went over 6,000 miles now.  Every change we have made has made such an improvement for our lifestyle.     We finally put Nyla our 65# dog up in one of the back seats for her bed.  This has been on of the best things yet.  Now she has a bed and we don't have to fall over her every time we were getting up.  She loves it and can look out the window.  We put down a big beach towelIMG_1673 she is loving it.
Today again Mr. Sun Mr. Golden Sun shine your light on me.....
sun
My cousin Betty told me anytime the temp dropped 10 degrees it was a cold front.  ( I told her this is our summer temps.)  They did say 74 tomorrow and rain so no sun for the next two days.  She said the temps in Texas have been about 10-15 degrees lower than normal.
Our neighbors from Wisconsin (the wood carver) and another couple from W Va came over this afternoon for a few hours.  The ones from W VA camp a lot of the Corp campgrounds.  Jeff loaned us their corp book the other day.  We really liked it and he said they had them in Sattler at Aces hardware.  We could not decide if we wanted to spend the 16 dollars for a book right now.  But we went into town a few days ago and found the book....              Guess what was on the front??????
IMG_1672
Look close............................
of all the campers and RV's ....  There was another Roadtrek on the cover....  We  laughed and thought we could not leave with out the book...
We are thinking it will save us some money and also the Corp parks are beautiful and half price for seniors.  A real perk....
Rosie also gave us a great big surprise today.  We were talking with Jeff and ask him how he was getting in TV.  He said he bought a box for his older TV  and with his antenna on top of rv it brought him in over 40 channels ..  LJ and I were than thinking we just bought a new digital TV on this trip for Christmas and  Rosie is supposed to have a hidden Antenna in her roof somewhere.........mmmm.  Just for fun we should try hooking the cable up.  We did and we were very very surprised when we received 17 channels.  So last night was a late night we stayed up and  watched the Olympics.  We really did not miss  TV that much but it was nice to see the skaters and hear the news. So it was a real blessing.

Devil's Backbone.   Nine Canyons 4700 acres.  This was once home for the Comanche and Apache Indians.  Confederate soldiers on a new quest for gold breathed their last in the Devils Backbone.
LJ bought a new toy..IMG_1639
We needed an air compressor  and it had to be very small to fit in Rosie.
We took down the new table LJ build a few days ago and put back up the old one. It seemed it was to cramped with the new one.                                                                                                       Our neighbor is a wood carver from Wisconsin.  He carves bottle stoppers and walking  canes.  They are very nice.  One cane he carved out of a cactus.  .I am going to try and get some pictures of them today.

IMG_1660 IMG_1637
We arrived back at the park and was greeted by this guy...........and a wonderful sunset that lasted a long long time.  What a great day.........

LJ was getting in the back and if you look real close you can see two deer behind him...
All and all it was one of the greatest days ever.  we are praising God for our new miracle Bailey Lynn. How anyone can look at a new born baby and not believe in God is beyond me.....................
